Välkomen till Adriakustens vackra skärgård och vår egen pärla, det charmiga lilla fiskesamhället Veli Losinj på ön Losinj. Ön är belägen strax söder om Istriahalvön i Kvarnerbukten och är speciellt känd för sitt hälsosamma klimat med milda vintrar och varma somrar.

Växter och plantor från jordens alla hörn fördes hem av sjömän och kaptener. De planterades i trädgårdar och särskilt anlagda parker. Århundrades gamla olivträd, pinjeträd och inte mindre än 1018 olika slags träd i kombination med öns många soltimmar har medfört att människor i alla tider sökt sig hit för hälsa och rekreation. Den låga luftfuktigheten gör ön speciellt lämpad för personer med astmatiska och allergiska besvär

Det finns flera promenadstråk längs havsvikarna som inbjuder till härliga strövtåg. Du behöver inte vara rädd för att utforska öns vackra natur då det inte finns några giftiga ormar.

Adriatiska havets största delfingrupp, flasknosdelfiner (tursiops truncatus) lever runt ön Losinj. Detta är indikator för extremt rent vatten. Det anordnas dagliga utflykter på havet, och har man tur kan man få se en skymt av delfinerna. Adriatiska havets vatten är oslagbart rent och magiskt smaragdgrönt.

•The parish church of St. Anthony, originally built in 1480, since 1774 has been a baroque style.
•The church of Our Lady of Angels, built in 1510, was transformed into a art gallery by captains donations.
• The church of St. John, after whom the hill was named, has a beautiful panoramic view of Veli and Mali Losinj
•The Venetian Tower, from 1445 was built to defend the harbour from pirate attacks. Today it is a museum and gallery.
• Apoxyomenos- an antique statue found in the Losinj sea ( Island Orjule ) in 1999. It is a bronze stautue of an athlete - Apoxyiomenos from the 4th century B.C. A copy is exhibited in the museum of the Venetian Tower in Veli Losinj.
• Rovenska -the water breaker, the foundation stone was laid by the Hapsburg Archduke Maximilian in 1856..
• Losinj’s Marine Education Centre, covers Losinj undersea and the colony of dolphins found in this area, multimedia, interactive projections, exhibitions and lectures.
• The forest park in Podjavori includes the former winter residence of the Hapsburg Archduke Charles Stephen.
